Handblown in our working glassblowing studio in Woolwich, London, each Miami Sweetie glass is built from three individually coloured elements, assembled while hot at the bench.
The bowl is blown into a generous rounded mould using soft opaque pastel glass, creating a smooth and balanced profile. The stem is then shaped by hand as either a rounded or faceted form using transparent coloured glass, before a contrasting blown foot is added beneath for balance and stability.
Each piece is made through a collaborative process involving skilled glassmakers working together between furnace and bench within our live production studio.
After annealing overnight, the rim is hot-popped, refined in the cold shop, and polished by hand.
The result is a durable handblown drinking glass that combines layered colour, sculptural detail, and everyday functionality.
