An Evening at the Hotshop - Gather x The Uncommon
This December, we're opening the hotshop after hours for a limited series of evenings with The Uncommon - the people making some of the most interesting English wine around, and putting it in cans.
We've poured their wine at the studio before and collaborated on giveaways, this felt like the natural next step. An evening that brings together two things we think go well together: the heat and focus of glassmaking, and something cold and good to drink once the work is done.
Guests will blow their own handblown glass bauble under the guidance of our glassmakers - choosing colours, gathering molten glass from the furnace, shaping the piece at the bench. Then the furnace stays on, the wine comes out, and there's time to settle in, browse Gather samples and seconds, and collect something made entirely by hand that evening.
Evenings run on 3rd, 10th and 11th December. £75 per person. Bookings open 9th September.
