Our Corporate Group Workshop Day brings your team into our London glassblowing studio for a focused, hands-on experience centred on collaboration and shared decision-making.

Working alongside our glassmakers, your group designs and creates a set of functional glassware together - for example, drinking glasses and a carafe made as a collective. Every choice, from colour to form, is discussed and agreed as a team, encouraging communication, adaptability, and thoughtful problem-solving.

You leave not only with handmade objects that live on in your workplace, but with a shared experience of learning, responding, and creating together.

FAQs

⭐ Corporate Group Workshop Day

What makes this different from a typical team-building activity?

This is a hands-on collaborative workshop where your team works together to design and create a shared set of handmade glassware. Rather than focusing on competition, the day encourages communication, creativity, decision-making, and problem-solving through making something together.

Do we need any previous glassblowing experience?

No. The workshop is designed for complete beginners and is fully guided by our experienced glassmakers.

What will we make during the day?

Teams typically work together to design and create a collection of functional glassware, such as drinking glasses and a carafe. The exact outcome may vary depending on your group and objectives.

Will everyone get to work with molten glass?

Yes. Every participant will have the opportunity to engage with the glassmaking process and contribute to the finished pieces under the guidance of our instructors.

How many people can attend?

The workshop can be adapted to suit different team sizes. We can accommodate up to 20 people in the studio at one time. If you're planning for a larger group, please get in touch to discuss options.

Can the workshop be tailored to our company?

Yes. We can adapt elements of the day to suit your team, objectives, and schedule. Whether you're planning a team-building event, company celebration, client experience, or leadership away day, we'd be happy to discuss your requirements.

Are refreshments included?

Tea, coffee, and informal breaks are included throughout the day. If you're interested in additional catering, drinks, or hospitality options, please contact us and we can discuss suitable arrangements.

Is this suitable for client entertainment?

Absolutely. The workshop provides a memorable and creative shared experience that works well for client hospitality, relationship-building, and special events.

What happens to the glassware we make?

The finished pieces are annealed and prepared after the workshop. Many teams choose to display or use the glassware in their workplace as a lasting reminder of the day.

Can the finished glassware be delivered to our office?

Yes. Finished pieces can either be collected from the studio or shipped to your workplace once they have cooled and been prepared for transport.

What should participants wear?

We recommend comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. All tools and safety equipment are provided.

How do I enquire about availability?

Please email info@gather.glass with your preferred dates, approximate group size, and any requirements. We'll be happy to discuss the most suitable format for your team.

♿ Accessibility

Is your studio wheelchair accessible? Can you accommodate people with limited mobility?

Our studio has two small steps (12 cm and 10 cm) at the front entrance, but step-free access is available via the rear of the building. Please contact us before your visit so we can make sure the route is clear and ready.

Some of our experiences, such as bauble blowing, can be adapted for people with different mobility levels. However, our tumbler, half-day, and full-day classes currently require standing and movement that make them unsuitable for wheelchair users.

We’re committed to making glassblowing as accessible as possible and are always happy to discuss individual needs or make reasonable adjustments where we can.

Email us at info@gather.glass to talk through options.

Is there a minimum age for glassblowing classes?

Because participants work close to hot equipment and molten glass, most classes are suitable for ages 16+. Some workshops may have different age requirements, which will be listed on the individual class page.
