MELD at 3 Days of Design
Where glazed stoneware meets handblown glass - the MELD collection emerged from an intuitive, hands-on collaboration between Gather founder Phoebe Stubbs and ceramicist Emma Louise Payne.
Developed through a shared material language of heat, surface, and form, each piece is the result of an experimental process between clay and furnace glass -moving between two distinct making disciplines within a single evolving body of work.
Alongside Proof of Concept, Phoebe and Emma presented a series of early studies and working prototypes, offering insight into how MELD developed inside the studio. Rather than a finished collection, the project focuses on process - revealing the dialogue between glass and clay as it unfolded.

This approach sits within Phoebe’s wider practice in a working glassblowing studio in London, where handblown glass is developed alongside bespoke commissions, production runs, and collaborative design projects.
