Working with Artists

Alongside our handblown glassware collections, we regularly collaborate with artists, designers, and institutions on bespoke projects developed within our working glassblowing studio in London.

These collaborations allow us to move beyond our core ranges and explore experimental ideas in glass - from sculptural forms and installation work to custom lighting and material-led research. Each project is shaped directly at the furnace, where process, colour, and form are developed in close dialogue with the artist’s vision.

Tai Shani - Limited Edition Handblown Glass Pendant Light (exclusive to House of Voltaire)

Recent projects include sculptural glass elements for Holly Hendry, including a large-scale 1.5m glass intestine, and bespoke pendant lighting for Tai Shani, produced in collaboration with Studio Voltaire.

Each commission is entirely unique, combining contemporary art practice with the material and technical possibilities of hot glass.

These projects sit at the intersection of art, design, and making - expanding what is possible within glass while remaining grounded in the rhythms of a working production studio.

If you are an artist, designer, architect, or institution interested in developing a bespoke glass project, we would be glad to hear from you.
