Product FAQ's

Where is Gather Glass made?

All our handblown glassware is made in our Woolwich studio, South East London. Each piece is carefully shaped by hand in small batches.

Who makes the glass?

Gather is led by artist and designer Phoebe Stubbs, with a small team of skilled glassblowers bringing over 18 years of experience.

What kind of glass do you use?

We use lead-free crystal glass - durable, food-safe, and free from toxic additives.

Is your glassware dishwasher safe?

Yes. We recommend placing items on the top rack or hand washing with warm water and mild detergent, especially for coloured glass.

Can I use it for hot drinks?

Our glassware is annealed for strength but not tempered. Use for warm to cold drinks only; avoid sudden temperature changes.

Is your packaging eco-friendly?

Yes. We use recyclable cardboard, paper wrap, and biodegradable loose fill to minimise environmental impact.

Can I return or exchange a product?

Yes. We offer a 30-day return policy for unused items in their original condition and packaging. Contact us at info@gather.glass to start a return.

What if my order arrives damaged?

If anything arrives broken, contact us with a photo within 14 days and we’ll arrange a replacement.

Pinch Pot - How it’s made

Handblown in our working glassblowing studio in Woolwich, London, each Pinch Pot is formed from a long, free-blown tube of glass.

Individual pots are opened and gently compressed while hot to create a small bowl, then finished with a neat applied handle shaped by hand at the bench.

The base is set using a hot torch, compressing a stable footprint into the form while preserving the soft profile.

The result is a light, tactile handblown glass vessel - simple to use and quietly characterful at the table.
