The Lapis blue glass is reminiscent of the vibrant sea in Chania, Crete.
The exaggerated shape is created by blowing bold colours of glass which is then joined with solid worked glass for the handles and stem. The Chania Vase makes the ultimate centrepiece in a home and is a formal nod to history.
The body of this vase is a soft opaque Lapis blue with transparent blue handles, stem and blown foot.

How It’s Made
At Gather, every piece begins with a gather, drawing molten glass from the furnace at over 1000°C. It’s the essential first step that sparks life into each creation.
In our Woolwich, London studio, we combine traditional glassblowing techniques with bold colours and thoughtful design. Some parts are shaped using moulds for precision, while many details are crafted by hand, layer by layer, breath by breath.
Each piece is slowly cooled, polished, and carefully inspected before it’s ready to be part of your table and home.
Finally, we pack every item in our signature Gather packaging, designed to protect, delight, and feel just as special as the glass inside.
