Handblown in our working glassblowing studio in Woolwich, London, each Chania Trifle Vase is shaped from molten glass gathered directly from the furnace.
The main dish is blown and refined by hand to create its exaggerated open form, inspired by classical Venetian and ancient Grecian glassware.
Transparent green blobs, stem, and blown foot are then individually applied and worked by hand at the bench, giving each piece subtle variations and a sculptural character.
Each vase is shaped through a collaborative process involving skilled glassmakers working between furnace and bench within our live production studio.
Designed as both a statement glass vase and serving piece, the result is a durable handblown object made for flowers, desserts, and gathering around the table.
