Handblown in our working glassblowing studio in Woolwich, London, each Miami Sweetie glass is built from three individually coloured elements, assembled while hot at the bench.
The bowls are blown into rounded moulds for consistency across the set using soft opaque pastel glass. The stems are shaped by hand as either rounded or faceted forms using transparent coloured glass, before contrasting blown feet are added beneath each piece for balance and stability.
Each glass is made through a collaborative process involving skilled glassmakers working between furnace and bench to produce small-batch handblown glassware.
After annealing overnight, the rims are hot-popped, refined in the cold shop, and polished by hand.
The result is a durable set of handblown glasses that combine playful colour, sculptural form, and traditional furnace glassblowing techniques.
