Handblown in our working glassblowing studio in Woolwich, London, each New York Whisky wine glass is shaped through a series of precise hot glass processes that balance clean form with sculptural detail.
The clear bowl is blown into a mould for consistency, while the stem is built separately using stacked gathers of whisky-coloured molten glass shaped into rounded and faceted forms at the bench. A matching coloured glass foot is then applied beneath to complete the silhouette.
Each piece is made through a collaborative process involving skilled glassmakers, moving between furnace and bench several times while hot to refine the proportions and detail of the stem.
After annealing overnight, the rim is hot-popped, then cold-worked and polished by hand for a smooth finish.
The result is a durable, sculptural wine glass made by hand in our London studio.
