Handblown in our working glassblowing studio in Woolwich, London, each South Beach wine glass begins with the bowl, blown into a mould for consistency of form across the set.
Coloured molten glass is gathered and shaped by hand to create the distinctive stems, bringing contrast and movement to each piece while the glass remains hot at the bench. A blown foot is then added beneath for balance and stability.
Each glass is made through a collaborative process involving skilled glassmakers, moving between furnace and bench several times while hot to produce small-batch handblown glassware.
After annealing overnight, the rims are hot-popped, then cold-worked and polished by hand.
The result is a durable, colour-led set of handblown wine glasses designed for everyday use and made through a live production process in our London glassblowing studio.
