Sicily Vase in Yellow

This vase is a playful take on the symbol of Sicily, the Trinacria. The wiggly tiers of handles on the narrow-necked form mimic the Medusa-like symbol of Sicily.

The exaggerated belly shape is created by blowing bold colours of glass and then one by one, each hand-manipulated glass handle is joined.

The body of this vase is a vibrant yellow, reminiscent of the intense Mediterranean heat of Italy. 

Measurements approx 28 x 18 x 18cm.
