Colour

A bold, colourful handblown glass trifle dish inspired by the vibrancy of the Miami landscape.

Made to take centre stage at any gathering, it turns a classic British dessert into something a little more theatrical - the kind of piece that gets passed around the table before anyone’s even had seconds.

Each dish is handmade in our London hot glass studio. The form is created by blowing clear glass into its exaggerated shape, before solid worked glass handles, stems, and a foot are individually applied and shaped by hand.

Choose from two colourways: pink, lilac and yellow, or orange, peach and pink.

Designed as statement glass serveware, it brings colour, height, and a bit of fun to any celebration.

Product FAQ's

🍽️ Glass Serveware

What is glass serveware used for?

Serving and filling the table - big bowls for fruit, salads, or trifles, sharing plates for larger spreads, and coolers to keep an open bottle chilled without leaving the table. Handblown to a form that's sturdy enough for regular use.

Is it food-safe?

Yes, all Gather glassware is food-safe.

Are pieces sold individually or as sets?

Individually - so you can mix and match across the collections.

🌴 What is the inspiration behind the Miami Glassware Collection?

The Miami Glassware Collection draws on the expressive colour palettes and relaxed architectural rhythm associated with coastal Florida living. It explores the interplay of bold colour, light, and form - creating pieces that feel playful, modern, and full of character.

Designed and handblown in our London studio, each piece brings together vivid tones and sculptural simplicity, bringing a sense of colour, light, and ease to everyday use and shared moments.

Gather is led by artist and designer Phoebe Stubbs, alongside a small team of skilled glassblowers with over 20 years of experience working with molten glass.

🔥 Materials & Making Process

What type of glass is Gather glassware made from?

We use lead-free crystal glass, which is durable, food-safe, and free from toxic additives.

Is every piece exactly the same?

No. Because each item is handmade, slight variations in shape, size, colour, and pattern are part of the process and make every piece unique.

Why is handmade glassware different from mass-produced glass?

Each piece is individually made by skilled glassblowers using traditional techniques and molten glass. This creates unique objects with natural variation, rather than identical factory-produced items.

💡 Good to Know

Why is handmade glassware more expensive than mass-produced glass?

Miami Trifle Dish - How it’s made

Handblown in our working glassblowing studio in Woolwich, London, each Miami Trifle Dish is shaped from richly coloured molten glass gathered directly from the furnace.

The main dish is free-blown and refined by hand into an exaggerated open form designed for serving and display at the table.

Coloured blobs, stem, and blown foot are then individually applied and worked by hand at the bench, giving each piece subtle variations in colour, balance, and sculptural detail.

Each trifle dish is shaped through a collaborative process involving skilled glassmakers working between furnace and bench within our live production studio.

Designed as both statement serveware and a sculptural centrepiece, the result is a durable handblown glass dish made for desserts, fruit, flowers, and generous gatherings around the table.
